Week Tropique: 7 nights in August 2013

This week-long cruise will take you to the tropics without ever leaving Australia. A round-trip from Brisbane, it visits the tropical north Queensland. The first stop is Airlie Beach in the beautiful Whitsundays, which offers easy access to the incredible Great Barrier Reef. Next is Yorkey's Knob, the gateway to the city of Cairns. There are great swimming beaches to the south and north of the city. The next port is Port Douglas, home to the beautiful 4-mile Beach and close to the Daintree Rainforest. On the way back to Brisbane, you will do some scenic cruising at Willis Island, an external territory of Australia. It is noted for its birdlife.

 About the Pacific Dawn

The elegant Pacific Dawn was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano and is recently out of drydock with the addition of the MIX cocktail bar, specialty restaurant Salt Grill, a giant LED screen and interconnecting cabins for families. Dining happens in the main restaurant or casual buffet, or even by the pool with hamburgers, hot dogs and the like fresh off the grill. For a cover charge, try asian flavours at La Luna or the amazing menu designed by Luke Mangan at Salt Grill. Keep busy day and night with pools, dance and other classes, competitions and games, a spa and gym and numerous theatres and bars.
